EDIBLE WREATH CLASSES AT JOHN LEWIS OXFORD STREET

This Christmas John Lewis Oxford Street is reviving the tradition of wreath-making with a twist and launching Edible Christmas Wreaths classes.

Held in the John Lewis Christmas Shop on the third floor, the Edible Christmas Wreath classes will teach creative customers how to hand make festive wreaths for the home or as a gift. The master class will teach participants to craft wreaths in different sizes, from smaller table centre pieces and wall hangings to mini wreaths for the tree.

Led by an expert Visual Merchandiser at John Lewis Oxford Street customers will be shown how to combine a traditional wreath with colourful, tasty foods and accessories such as dried fruits, twisted spoons and boiled sweets.

COVENT GARDEN CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS WITH A KISS FROM NOVEMBER 11TH
- Louie Spence and Christine Bleakley to launch Covent Garden’s ‘Kissing’ Christmas tree -
Covent Garden will bring people together this Christmas with the creation of the world’s first ‘Kissing’ Christmas tree. The KISS, by Paul Cocksedge Studio, sees a 50ft traditional Christmas tree light up when people kiss under the mistletoe beneath it. Based on human touch, KISS is activated each time a kiss occurs, triggering over 50,000 white and red lights to pulse through the tree, creating a sensational lighting effect.

Covent Garden will host a full programme of traditional Christmas and KISS inspired events, in aid of youth charity The Prince’s Trust, to help Londoners and visitors to the capital get in the Christmas spirit and flocking to Covent Garden to create their own magical moments under the tree.

Launch Night, Thursday 11th November
Launch night on Thursday 11th November will set Merry Kissmas off with a bang – there will be an all-singing, all-dancing performance by dance group PDG, of “Pineapple Dance Studios” TV show fame, with a guest appearance from Louie Spence, culminating in the climax of the winning bidder claiming their kiss from the beautiful Christine Bleakley under the tree to turn on Covent Garden’s Merry Kissmas lights.
