SUMMER, SUN, AND…..STRAWBERRIES!! With Wimbledon on the horizon, all our thoughts turn to sweet, juicy, succulent strawberries. From the best of British to plump Italian strawberries and delicate wild French varieties, Natoora (natoora.co.uk) has something for every strawberry lover.
This year, you can enjoy the exceptional tasting Arzagot Fraises Des Bois (woodland strawberries with a distinct flavour and aroma). Arzagot is undoubtedly the finest global producer of these delicious wild strawberries which apparently are used by celebrated chefs across Europe. Even famous ice-cream maker, Berthillon exclusively uses Arzagot Strawberries to make his distinct Fraises des Bois flavour.
Another of the chefs’ favourite is the floral Mara des Bois from France. Patissiers covet this variety in particular for their balance of sweet and aromatic. Another prized French variety is the fantastic Gariguettes. They are more conical than our own and have a flavour reminiscent of wild strawberries - Perfect popped in a glass of bubbly.
The Italians have a good offering too from Marsala in Sicily. These delights have definitely had the advantage of that beautiful Sicilian sun – a real taste of summer.
We’ll be hoping for a British winner on the grass at Wimbledon this year, and we’ve already found one in the fields with the classic Brit Elsanta strawberry. Hand-picked in Faversham, these are as fresh as could be and taste superb!
To round off your strawberry feast, Natoora also offers a selection of fine champagnes, organic double cream and much more.
Established in 2001, Natoora sources and delivers only the finest selection of quality fresh food and groceries for next day delivery.
About Natoora Delivery: Delivery within London is £4.90 (free above £80). 1 delivery slot outside London: Standard - 9am to 6pm from £6.90

THE WHITE ROOM – THE ULTIMATE PRIVATE GYM SPACE AND DEDICATED PERSONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME
Michael Garry’s The White Room gym in Belgravia is home to a truly refreshing contemporary approach to training, the ultimate in personal training. Purposely looking to appeal to everyone – from overweight executives, more mature clients, young brides-to-be, athletes or celebrities – Michael and his team have created the perfect embarrassment-free environment in which to train, a dream for the reluctant and self-conscious.
With a maximum of two clients permitted in the gym at any time, one on each floor and each with their own individual private shower and changing area, the gym is truly private and personal. Each client works with a consistent personal trainer to ensure full focus, personal service and real results.
Clients do not become ‘members’ but reserve and commit to hourly slots two or three times per week for the duration of their training programme. The two-storey space is dedicated to encouraging clients to perform at their best and to achieve their own personal goals. Be that, general fitness, weight loss, improved posture, body sculpting, endurance – such as expeditions to the North Pole – or targeted preparation for 5k, 10k, half or full marathon races.
Working closely with Michael Garry or Helen Kapsali, each client’s programme is truly tailored to their needs and lifestyle. Michael created the Body Change Programme, whilst he was at Claridges, the programme usually lasts for 6 weeks: it will reduce fat, tone the body and transform health, energy levels and most crucially confidence and wellbeing. This initial programme provides a platform for further training and improvement.
Quality, not quantity are vital to achieving the best results, Michael and Helen consistently monitor clients to fine tune the correct levels of exercise rather than ‘overtraining’. Michael’s inspirational and motivating approach means many clients find they achieve more than they thought possible and feel genuine pride in their achievements.
As part of the initial consultation, Michael also looks at the diet and lifestyle of clients. Michael believes training, diet and caring for oneself can not happen in isolation. To compliment this holistic approach, the White Room is also home to a Wellness Salon, offering treatments from prestigious organic French beauty brand Clé Des Champs. All machines are state of the art equipment from Technogym.

SLEEP LIKE A PRINCESS WITH HÄSTENS - IN CELEBRATION OF SWEDEN'S ROYAL WEDDING
As the world’s master bed makers, Ha?stens has been the purveyor to the Swedish royal court since 1952 and still has the pleasure in supplying the royal court today. To celebrate the royal wedding of Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria to Mr Daniel Westling, taking place on the 19 th June 2010 , the makers of ‘the bed of your dreams’ has developed the new limited edition Ha?stens Royal, which will also be given as a wedding gift to the royal couple.
Using the knowledge and expertise gained over 150 years and to mark the connection with the Swedish royal court, Ha?stens has especially developed this exclusive bed which will be available in select Ha?stens stores around the world for a limited time during 2010.
When developing the Ha?stens Royal, the colour options of classical Blue Check and Single Navy were carefully chosen to emphasise the representation of Sweden. The blue, white and gold scheme is also Crown Princess Victoria’s colours of choice for the wedding. The bed has been created with specially made oak legs featuring a luxurious brushed brass base. Each corner of the bed is adorned with a stylish brushed brass crown that is detachable and beautiful gold embroidery on the base shows the name of the bed and the firmness of the mattress.
Like all of Ha?stens beds, the Ha?stens Royal is made by hand using the finest natural materials to work in harmony with the patented spring system for maximum performance and a superior quality of sleep. Nonallergenic horsehair, cotton, wool and flax make up the natural fibres which allow the bed to breathe, making it ideal for regulating body temperature and using natural defences against moisture produced when we sleep. The un-compromising level of quality, time and passion invested into each and everyone one of Ha?stens’ beds means that they are guaranteed for 25 years, and in most cases they will last for considerable longer.

BBC PROMS OUT+ABOUT RETURNS TO WESTFIELD LONDON
Free kicks at Westfield London – BBC Proms Out+About returns
The BBC Symphony Orchestra presents a World Cup-themed evening of free music-making a week before the opening of the BBC Proms
Friday 9 July, 6.30pm-8pm, Westfield London
The BBC Symphony Orchestra gives a full-blown classical music concert at he Capital’s pioneering shopping and leisure destination on 9 July 2010, as the BBC Proms – the world’s largest music festival – goes Out+About. The new face of the Proms on TV, Katie Derham, presents an hour-and-a-half of free world-class orchestral music as a pre-season treat for Londoners, families and new ears just one week before the BBC Proms opens.
Out+About is a BBC Prom with a difference and provides a family-friendly preview of some of the music to come in the festival, which runs from 16 July to 11 September at the Royal Albert Hall. Stadium classics ‘Nessun dorma’ and ‘You’ll never walk alone’ give a taste of both the feast of opera and the Rodgers and Hammerstein celebrations descending on the Proms this summer. Continuing the opera theme, there is also Bizet’s Overture to Carmen and the ‘Bridal March’ from Wagner’s Lohengrin. Crowds at Westfield are invited to join in and sing along with two of Britain’s leading voices, soprano Elizabeth Watts, and tenor John Hudson, a long-standing principal for the English and Welsh National Operas. There is a nod to the World-Cup too with Walton’s Johannesburg Festival Overture.
In the weeks leading up to the event, the BBC Symphony Orchestra intensifies its on-going learning work in Hammersmith and Fulham, with schools and pupils from the area being given the rare opportunity to perform alongside members of the world-class BBC Symphony Orchestra through two ambitious outreach projects. Seventy-five primary school children will perform a new work inspired by Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Momentum, specially created by Rachel Leach, who has worked within the education departments of many orchestras and opera companies. For more advanced young local musicians – Grade VII or above – there is also the opportunity to play side-by-side the professionals of the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
Out+About, now in its eighth year, strives to bring the essence of the BBC Proms directly to people who might not otherwise experience it, while providing opportunities for families to get involved. The Proms Learning initiatives continue throughout the season, giving everyone a chance to be part of this internationally renowned classical music festival.
Participants, audiences, shoppers and passers-by will be introduced to the wealth of family-friendly events through this initial taster of what the season has to offer. Highlights of the 2010 BBC Proms include a free recreation of the Last Night of the Proms from 1910, the Children’s Prom on August Bank Holiday Monday, the return of the Doctor Who Prom in July, and the many opportunities to take part in the Proms Family Orchestra and Chorus events at the Royal College of Music which run throughout the festival. The BBC Proms provides an exciting and affordable experience for all the family and tickets for under-16s remain at half price for all Proms (excluding the Last Night concert).

A spirited Mojito flavoured ice cream has beaten hundreds of suggestions put forward by the public - in search of a more appetising way of cooling down the crowds at this year’s Taste of London Restaurant festival (17th – 20th June).
A number of creative concoctions were pipped to the post including a World Cup Cone Combo with African vanilla, Beet the Heat with real beetroot and the About Figging Thyme with fig and lemon thyme.
Boris Johnson, Mayor of London said: 'London is the gastronomic capital of the world so I am not surprised that our native ingenuity has generated such a vast range of creative taste sensations. Congratulations to the winner for triumphing with the Mojito flavour which I am sure will go down a storm at this year's Taste of London restaurant festival.'
The brains behind the winning flavour will be awarded with VIP tickets to the event where she will have the chance to see her very own ice-cream served up alongside signature dishes from the likes of Giorgio Locatelli, Michel Roux Jr and Francesco Mazzei.
One of the judges and managing director of Oddono’s, Christian Oddono, is looking forward to creating and serving Mojito ice cream at the event: “What better way a nice summers day? We may have to keep to portions to one scoop considering the key ingredient!”
