Stafford Cliff and Gilles de Chabaneix offer a fascinating compilation of images that celebrate the ways in which we integrate our favourite decorative objects into our homes.
From the lavish display of expensive and cherished antiques to the imaginative use of found objects, the collection showcases Gilles de Chabaneix’s gift for photographing revealing remarkable interiors throughout the world.
Flea Market The display and storage of street market finds
Tribal Decoration and detail from ethnic art around the world
Art Home Imaginative displays of prints, photographs, paintings and sculpture
Antiques The best use of your most treasured possessions
Religious The decorative iconography of votive images and artefacts
Rustic The charm of found objects from nature
Kitchenalia Pre-plastic-era culinary paraphernalia and its decorative possibilities
The Way We Live With the Things We Love is for decorators, collectors and anyone who believes that beauty is in the details, and that every stone, stool or statue tells a story.
Hot Brands Verdict
We love Stafford Cliff’s books and the late Gilles de Chabaneix photography is always stunning. This book is a particular favourite of ours, because as avid collectors ourselves, we love the insight into the houses of others and how they arrange their collections. There are hundreds of ideas for arranging collections from Street Market Finds to found objects in the countryside. We loved the Flea Market, Art House and Kitchenalia collections, but whatever your personal preference there are so many ideas for inspiration. A fabulous book !
