Hot Brands Verdict
This is an absolutely beautiful book, and one to treasure. Full of breathtaking photography, it is a work of art. Taking you through ten different styles of gardens Louisa Jones asks ten questions related to each garden, e.g ‘What is the purpose of these gardens ?’How were the plants chosen?’How is colour used in this garden?’ 'How does this garden relate to the landscape beyond?’ ‘What senses are engaged by this work, beyond sight?’ Each question is addressed with examples.

At the end of the book there are two additional chapters, Experts Choose Their Favourite Gardens Round the Globe which is a fascinating collection of three gardens/parks chosen by 20 garden experts. Together with a really useful section; Advice from the Wise, containing information about what to take with you on a garden visit, who to take with you, when to go, courtesy, and advice to owners opening their garden for the first time.

We loved this book, whether you are a seasoned garden visitor, or venturing out for the first time, this book is invaluable in helping you see gardens through new eyes. Highly Recommended!
