A special edition is also available featuring a rounded cloth spine and ribbon tie closure – each book will be signed and numbered.

Originally from Nottingham, now based in London, Paul Thurlby has been a full-time illustrator since September 2006 after graduating from University in Buckinghamshire.

Hot Brands Cool Places Verdict

This is a really stunning book, with wonderful designs. Paul says the inspiration for his work comes from mid-century design and illustration. and that his style has been described as being retro-modern. He uses old books, postcards and pieces of paper for the backgrounds to his illustrations which often involves buying an old book from a charity shop just to use it’s back cover. Adults will love this as much as children! Highly Recommended!
