Established in 1970 by Tricia Guild, Designers Guild designs and wholesales furnishing fabrics, wall coverings, upholstery, bed and bath collections as well as a complete range of rugs and home accessories throughout Europe and worldwide. The company also produce collections and distribute for The Royal Collection Fabric and Wallpaper, Jasper Conran and William Yeoward and distribute worldwide for Ralph Lauren fabric and wallpaper.
Internationally renowned for collections that offer a broad and versatile colour palette, great textures and fabulous use of pattern, Designers Guild products are innovative, dynamic and contemporary. Tricia’s knack for identifying and creating the zeitgeist is legendary. Her inspirations for collections come from a wide variety of sources such as nature and flowers, her travels, architecture, fashion and photography - to name but just a few.
The soul of the company and the place where it all began is the Homestore on the Kings Road, which was established in the early 70’s and a new homestore on Marylebone road is set to open in Spring 2010. Everything within the Homestores is sourced by Tricia and her team, and exclusively designed items are available alongside the entire Designers Guild range. The Homestores are where the true Designers Guild philosophy can be discovered - Handmade jewellery next to the best of Italian furniture, beautiful bedlinen to vintage scarves, design classics to one off ceramics , a gorgeous bar of soap to an antique wardrobe or the perfect cappuccino to the complete redesign of your home - the store and showroom offer a personal, eclectic and contemporary way of life.
The company also sells a fabulous range of selected items online, which are all available at the click of a mouse from the comfort of your own home within the UK and the site has also just been launched in the USA.
