Balineum is a Latin word for bathhouse, and that's where their focus firmly lies. They design and sell elegant linens and accessories for your bathroom.

“The bathroom is the place you begin and end your day, and our aim is to help you turn it into a beautiful and pleasurable environment that reflects the elegance of the rest of your home,” says Balineum Founder, Sarah Watson.

Balineum launched in November 2007 selling a selection of fabric shower curtains, liners and rings online. The company was started by Sarah Watson. Australian born, Sarah spent five years living in New York before moving to London in 2006. After struggling to find a stylish shower curtain to suit her London flat, she decided to start designing them herself. With the help of textile designer Gail Bryson, Balineum's first range of shower curtains was born.

Since launching shower curtains, they have expanded their product range to also include bath towels and mats. Their luxurious new range of towels, 820 Anatolia, are the heaviest on sale in Europe. Made in Turkey and woven to a weight of 820 grams of cotton per square metre. Balineum also make a commitment that once they launch a colour they'll always stock it, so you can return at any time to add a single face cloth or buy a matching bath mat in the colour you love.

“Over time, I hope Balineum will continue to expand, offering all the accessories our customer want and need to transform their bathroom”, says Sarah.
