Patisserie Valerie was originally conceived by Madam Valerie who left her native Belgium to introduce fine continental patisserie to the English. First opening the doors to Patisserie Valerie in Soho’s Frith Street in 1926 and later moving to the current site in Old Compton Street where the legacy continues to this day following bombing by the Luftwaffe during the Second World War.

The unique Café-atmosphere includes the left over 1950’s décor epitomised by the now famous Toulouse-Lautrec style cartoons by Terroni.

A partnership of the three Scalzo brothers – Enzo, Robert & Victor- acquired the business in 1987 and growing the business to eight locations throughout Central London.

In September 2006 the business was acquired by Risk Capital Partners who recognising the loyal following the brand had attracted over the years have added a further five branches with ambitions to take the Patisserie Valerie experience outside London.
In our havens of self indulgence, you will discover cakes and pastries hand made daily using traditional methods, continental breakfasts, lunches, afternoon Tea and the finest coffee in an atmosphere unique to each Valerie location.

We’ve worked hard to achieve an international reputation built on the quality of our products resulting in award winning croissants & viennoiserie.

Our second- to- none bespoke celebration cake service offers outstanding value for money becoming increasingly popular through our online ordering service.

We have been creating popular chocolate wedding cakes for years and have a delicious collection of designs including the classic French Croque en bouche.

We make our own authentic Italian Gelato, the finest hand made confectionary and unique marzipan figures.

Over the years we have become a favourite haunt for celebrities and have become recognised by the media as the first stop for anything Patisserie.

In May 2008 the business was merged with Druckers Vienna Patisserie and both businesses share the same management team using the expertise and experience gained by both businesses over the years.
We have exciting times ahead with new Patisserie Valerie sites opening in London before the end of 2009 along with two additional branches in Bristol including the exciting Cabot Circus development.
